HOW TO PLAY PADEL?
Welcome to Padel, the most fun racket game that you can quickly master! Below, we explain step by step how to play it so that everyone can understand
1. The court
Padel is played on a rectangular court with glass walls at the back and sides. The lines on the ground resemble those of a tennis court. You always play in teams of two, so it’s 2 against 2.
2. The goal
Just like in tennis, the goal of the game is to hit the ball over the net and ensure that it bounces on the ground in the opponent’s area. But be careful: the ball can also come back into play off the glass walls!
3. The serve
- You start the game with a serve.
- The serve is done underhand, which means you let the ball bounce first before hitting it.
- The ball must land in the opponent’s service box after the bounce.
4. The ball in play
- After the serve, the ball can only bounce once on the ground before you hit it back.
- The ball can come back into play off the glass wall, as long as it doesn’t touch the ground before you hit it.
- If the ball bounces twice, the point goes to the opponent.
5. Scoring
- Padel scores points like tennis: 15, 30, 40, and game.
- You win a game by scoring at least 4 points and having a 2-point lead.
- The first team to win 6 games wins the set. Usually, you play best-of-three, so whoever wins 2 sets wins the match.
6. Teamwork is important!
Padel is always played with a partner. Good communication and smart teamwork help you win. Don’t forget to have fun!
7. The walls are your friend.
In padel, you can use the glass walls. If the ball comes toward you, it can bounce off the wall first and still be playable. This makes the game extra fun!
Now that you know the basic rules, it’s time to try the game yourself. Enjoy Padel!
